Julia Groves

Julia Groves created her first books whilst studying for an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.

She enjoys working in all kinds of media; cut-paper, letterpress and hand-drawn typography. But she is really in her element when printmaking and has developed her own technique, which she refers to as one step removed from potato prints! She will use anything she can get her hands on to create the right textures for her illustrations.

Julia really enjoys creating illustrations of animals as they have so many wonderful shapes, colours and personalities!

She lives in Norwich, UK a beautiful medieval city, with her husband and two children.
