Learning through play tips!

Read by example!

Young children learn best with movement, repetition, exploration, and imagination.

If you sing, boom, clap, wiggle, and act out the page, they will too!

Play IS learning

Books inviting participation make learning joyful and fun! Children learn faster when they feel relaxed and engaged.

Make setting the table or helping to cook dinner part of daily routines.

Bring the book to life

Children love to copy characters! Role play is great for vocabulary!

Let them take the lead and choose the story activities to try at home. Find items around the house and get creative.
